Since 2007, New York photographer Richard Rinaldi has been pairing total strangers on the street as part of his awkward yet intimate series Touching Strangers.

But those that did agreed to be photographed alongside a total stranger, can now safely say that are part of a true piece of photographic art. It’s not only the composition of Rinaldi’s works that is so eye-catching, it’s also the choices he makes between the individuals he pairs together.
